I got the free beta key for the Medal of Honor. Now I know for sure that I don’t want to buy this game.

Let’s get some good things to the start. Menu graphics are nice, game looks nice and runs smoothly. Sounds are also good. And well, it is kinda fun deathmatch game.

And then to the bad things… Yes, it is beta, but there is way too much problems for me to even think about wasting 50$ on this.

It is a goddamn console port. There is a screen to “adjust my television”! Is developers that lazy that they can’t remove one damn menu? The whole ui is also not designed for mouse. And the server browser is even worse than the first browser on bc2 beta. I don’t even known if it joins to the server. It does nothing for 2-5secs and then it joins or not. And why I cant see pings of players? Is it so hard to display the numbers? Sigh… The text chat also bugs on the beta. If I press talk key, the input field is stuck on the field and I cant do anything with it. Developers, please, dont do shitty console ports.

Gameplay is not bad, but I have already enough games like this. This is some kind of bf/bc game that tries to be cod… It just feels too much like a MW2 mod to bc2. They have just changed some skins and maps, etc. Some of the animations are taken from bc2!

Some of the ingame icons are also from the bc2. There is also lots of models also copied… This game just feels like quick clone to make easy money…

And the gameplay? Yes, it is mostly ok random deathmatch… Gameplay is mostly ok, expect that I already have 3 games that are similar to this. Levels are just way too static. After bc2 destructible environment, this game has annoying feeling… I can see that somebody can have fun with this for sure, but I don’t see reason to spend money on this game.

It can’t be so hard to support custom maps. Looks like EA just wants to sell DLC rather than having community making custom maps…

And for competitive gaming, this isn’t going to work. REAL dedicated servers are necessary. Not these restricted shitty “rent-only” things. Also, where is the record functions? Every modern game-engine has record-functionality build in! Source,goldsource, unreal, quake(Id tech), Call of Duty(custom)…. And why I can’t spectate from first person??

And looks like all game companies have started to ruin competitive gaming. Dedicated servers most likely only for rent… No custom maps… No console…. And after couple of months we get a freaking dlc for 10$. And then couple of moths and they are selling next big game for 50$… No thanks.

I can see that somebody would like this game. But for me this isn’t worth of wasting money. I already have MW1 and MW2 for fast deathmatch. (And quake for REAL deathmatch) And I already have BC2 for more team-based battles. So yeah… I am not very happy about this game or where the gaming industry is going with this kind of games.

So I finally got the level 70 in modern warfare 2. I have played 2 days and 7 hours with 6513 kills and 4832 deaths. Full stats are bellow if you want to see them

However, this game isn’t anymore as fun as it was when I first started playing this… Here is some reasons why.

Lack of dedicated servers is huge problem. It doesn’t make the game unplayable, but rather very annoying. It’s just so fun to see on killcam that you shot only 2 bullets, when you really have shot half of the clip to that guy that knifed you…

Then there is those well balanced weapons like grenade launchers and anything akimbo. This would be much better game without akimbo/grenade launchers. Akimbo shotguns  are especially annoying…

And finally, the last reason for this rage post, the idiots that this game has way too much. There is just way too many kids screaming on mics, cheaters with aimbots/wallhacks, campers, people that won’t speak English and spams the chat with characters that nobody understands, retarded hosts downloading stuff while playing…

Well, this was great game for a while, but now this feels just annoying…

Modern Warfare 2 Stats

I have already ranted about survival mode in l4d, but now I will also rage about problems on versus mode.

There is two primary problems in versus mode. First is stacked teams (clans/friends playing together causing unbalanced game) and second is ragequitters.

Yes, people wants to play with friends. I agree with that, but mostly it ruins fun of the game for the other team. Playing on unbalanced teams is never fun. (Yea, it may be fun to pwn noobs, but there isn’t any challenge!)

Way to solve stacking is simple: Get your friends playing and create your own stack!

Another even more annoying problem is ragequitters. Some players quits game when they are losing (making sure that rest of the team will lose for sure.) With repeating joins/quits there may not be enough stable players left. Sometimes everyone quits on same team, ruining the game totally.

One problem with ragequitters is that they usually shoot/hit teammates or runs to stupid places before leaving server.

If you play versus, please, only quit when level is changing. Because it’s very annoying if players plays just 5-10 minutes and leaves in middle of the game. Play survival if you don’t have enough time for full versus match!

It looks like campaing (and single player) is the only game mode that other players can’t ruin.

L4d is exellent game, but sometimes ragequitting retards ruins it.

The survival mode in l4d is awesome. But there is huge problem with exploiters/cheaters/noobs.

Many of the maps contains way to get out if designed area. Up to somewhere where zombies can’t come or to somewhere much easier place. I don’t like to play this way, but sometimes it is annoyingly hard to find server with people that doesn’t want to cheat.

I don’t say that people should stop cheating, I say that they should stop ruining game of other players.

On server where there is a cheaters (aka noobs that can’t play without exploits) they will try to exploit, if you try to stop them, they will vote to restart the round or to kick you. After that you try to find new server and hope that there isn’t any cheaters.

Ways to avoid this:

• Play only on maps that can’t be exploited – (you can’t play all maps )
• Wait valve to fix maps – (they are doing l4d2, they probably won’t fix maps)
• Play with friends and kick cheaters – (works only if you have friend online that wants to play)
• Host game on your server and manually kick idiots. – (maybe the best one, but only if you have good bandwidth)
• Don’t play survival – (But if you really want to play survival, its not an option)

L4d is awesome game, but some ppl try to do everything to make me ragequit.

I really don’t know why I play world war. This game has so many clones (same game, different graphics) on app store that I just hate it. It’s multiplayer game yes, but communication with other players is broken. Talking to other ppl is hard and pointless, there is no reason to talk to anybody. Why this is then a mmorpg game? Everybody just spams their invite code. It’s the only reason why there is communication on this game.

So what’s the game about? Yeah, just press button, you attack, maybe won. Then go buy stuff, spam your invite code to get more ppl to your alliance.. And then do it again! Again and again… Until you want to whack your head trough wall.

Yea. Dead simply game where you repeat yourself n+1 times. And I can’t stop playing it! I hate myself now…
