Today, about 2 hours ago. Domain started to point my new host. I got some problems with wp, because paths on new host was different, so there was a 2 hour down-time. (but I think it is not a big thing on this blog)

As I first copied all of my wp stuff to new host and recreated db, it didn’t work. Solution was very simple.

1. Install wp to new host
2. Drop every table on new database
3. Upload database dump with data you want
4. Upload theme- and plugin-files
5. It works!

And as I haven’t blogged for 2 weeks I probably blog much more as normally for some time. Actually, it was pretty annoying when I wasn’t able to blog anything.

My current hosting provider “edullinenwebhotelli” (EWH)(finnish provider) have been very cheap, but still very usable service. But now it looks like my previous host, futuron, now owns EWH. I really liked the ewh service, but now I can’t thrust that futuron won’t ruin my site again.

The problem here is that futurons servers are horrible. Customer service is slow and the servers are awful. And now my site is moving to futuron…

I am not sure what to do. I may move to new webhosting service, move to new virtual server or just stop this website.

I don’t want to be again on futuron’s servers.

No, its not easy or quick way to get money. You get almost nothing with small or medium blog. You may get some money if you have website with 50k unique visitors everyday, but with smaller blogs, its just wasting time and making website look ugly.

Biggest thing that I hate on adsense is that Google can’t tell how much I can get, like 0.1€ per click.

Another problem with these ads is that many users like to filter then(Thats totally ok, I do it also). And another half of peopl don’t click ads because they know that it is a ad.

Don’t waste your time unless you have lot’s of visitors on your website.

Analytics lite is great application for iPhone/iPod touch. With it you can check latest stats of google analytics.

Interface is clean and application is easy to use. There is small lag when changing site, bit that’s just a minor problem.

Best thing is that this app is totally free. There is small add banner, but it’s not a big deal.

If you use analytics you must try this app.

I was creating a backup from my steam folder and windows tells me that it takes 3 hours to copy… It only toked about 10mins…

When this bug is fixed? It is really annoying.

Also another annoying thing is the build-in zip extracting tool, with some files it takes about 15mins when 7-zip extracts same file in 10s.
